What started as my personal passion for plants has blossomed into a space where I share tips, DIY projects, and plant care guides to help you grow a thriving green space.

My name is Joan Egwuterai, and I live in Lagos, Nigeria. My gardening journey started in 2019 when I wanted ‘a few’ plants to decorate my home with. 

And although there are several shops and gardens selling plants here, there didn’t seem to be enough information on how to care for them. 

Internet searches often led to content written from the perspective of plant owners in temperate regions, where the conditions are very different from mine. 

This was confusing for me as a beginner trying to apply advice about increasing the humidity in a room, the light requirements, and when the growing season starts.   

So, I began to share what I was discovering about tropical plants growing in my tropical climate. At first, I wrote articles for the website only, and later I added YouTube videos.

Through garden tours on video, I want you to learn directly from others growing a wider variety of plants than I can hope to acquire. 

So, whether you’re just starting or looking to expand your gardening skills, we are here to inspire and guide you. We share tips not only about plants to decorate your space with, but also about plants you can grow for food.
